Degrees and Certifications:
MAEd. in Elementary Education Early Childhood and SEI Endorsement
Hi! My name is Linda Fox and I am honored to be your child's 1st grade teacher at Desert Sun Academy.
I have been working in the education field for 18 years teaching at Private Preschools, Charter Schools and now at Desert Sun Academy. I love being around children and have been told I am a kid magnet.
Originally from New York, I lived in California then moved to Arizona in 1989. I have 3 amazing sons, that live in Phoenix; Alex, Kevin and Mark, a daughter-in-law named Jillian and a granddaughter named Phoebe that was born February 2018! Of course I can't forget to mention my adorable poodles; Basil, Louie and Milo. Now that's oodles of poodles!
When not at school, I enjoy working out, reading, going to the movies, baking, trying a new restaurant, gardening, and traveling to any destination that has a beach!
I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor's Degree. I was a stay at home mom for 15 years and very involved in all 3 of my children's education which made me realize how much I love being with children and involved in their learning process. I was encouraged by one of my son's teacher to go back to school and earn my teaching degree. I completed schooling and earned my Master's degree in Elementary Education from University of Phoenix in 2002. I have my Early Childhood and SEI endorsements and I am certified to teach grades K-8. I have been trained in Kagan Cooperative Learning which helps in establishing a cohesive learning environment while working in communities of peers.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child. Thank you for sharing your child with me, we will have such fun this year!
