Cristina "Tina" Steensen-Bech
Tina received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Communications from Pace University in New York City. She received her Master of Professional Studies in Special Education from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York and is certified to teach special education K-12. Tina brings a diverse set of teaching experiences to CSHS having served as a Park Ranger in New York City, cruise line Entertainment Director, and Touring Studio Teacher of the Big Apple Circus and for child "stars" on Broadway and in film/TV. Tina is featured in the book, "Odd Jobs." She has also taught in international schools in England and Denmark. Tina has taught in the Cave Creek school district since 2011 and been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2014. An avid watersports enthusiast, Tina is at home being on the water. During the weekends, when she is finished planning lessons, you can find her on one of the nearby lakes either swimming, sailing, skiing, wake surfing, or kayaking. In the summer, she spends time on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Tina also enjoys playing drums and volunteering for the Special Olympics and Make-A-Wish Arizona. Having lived in Denmark for five years, she speaks Danish. Please ask her if you would like to learn the basics.
