Student Identification and Bus Passes
All high school and middle school students are required to have student identification (ID) with them in order to ride a school bus. A student's ID is their authorization to ride a school bus much like a driver's license is authorization to drive a vehicle.
If a high school or middle school student does not have an ID in the morning, the driver will transport the student to school and remind them that they will need a bus pass in order to ride the bus home. The school may take whatever disciplinary action is deemed to be appropriate.
If a high school or middle school student does not have an ID in the afternoon, the driver will not allow the student to board the bus. The student will be instructed to go to the school office and obtain a Bus Pass to ride the bus home. The bus driver will NOT wait for the student to arrive back at the bus.
Bus Passes are required FOR ALL STUDENTS (including Elementary students) for the following situations: 1) to ride a bus in the afternoon that is not the student's regular bus, and 2) to ride their regular bus but get off at a stop that is not their regular stop.
