About Early Entrance

  • The Cave Creek Unified School District Kindergarten Entrance Policy states that children may attend kindergarten if they are 5 before September 1 of that school year. This policy does allow for exceptions to be made for children that turn 5 between September 1 and December 31 if they successfully pass the Early Entrance screening.

The screening is used to measure skills in areas of development that will most likely assure a successful and satisfactory kindergarten experience. These areas include: fine motor skills, gross motor skills, color recognition, rote counting and identifying letters.

If you are interested in having your child participate in the Early Entrance Assessment for the 2021-2022 school year, please complete this registration form.
