I am excited to be returning to LMES and the Upper PALS (4-6th Grade) for the third year. Teaching is a "second act" for me. While my son was growing up, I was a full-time mom and part-time fitness business owner. I taught exercise classes and ran my own "Boot Camp" for eighteen years. When my son went off to college, I knew I needed to find another purpose. I had worked at Devereux after high school and really loved special education and the exceptional students I worked with. I returned to college and finished my BA degree in Special Education. I was lucky enough to do my student teaching at LMES and was offered the Upper PALS teaching position, where I have been since becoming a certified Special Education teacher. I am currently working on my MS in Curriculum and Instructions, so that I can be the best teacher I can be.
