Ryan does such an incredible job keeping our schools looking beautiful!  Staff, parents, and students are grateful for all of his hard work and dedication. He is always willing to help, ready to work, and do more than what is expected, including supporting school events. Those around Ryan appreciate his positive energy and how he is such an expedient problem solver.  More importantly, Ryan is truly making a difference as a mentor for our special needs students.  Thank you, Ryan, for all that you do and for leading by your excellent example at Cactus Shadows High School!

Mike’s dedication every day to everything he does is inspiring and positively impacts students and athletes.  He is an amazing role model that motivates, builds confidence, and encourages students to create goals and achieve them.  As Falcon Football Coach, Mike has led our team to much success. He teaches student athletes not only skills for the game, but valuable life skills. Cactus Shadows High School is a better school because of Mike and his contributions!

Jim is considered a leader on campus and is very well respected as the Math Department Chair and Math Club Sponsor. He can always be depended upon, and he rises to challenges and willingly assists others. Struggling students see Jim as their hero who helps them understand difficult concepts. Colleagues see him as a life-long learner who is constantly training and learning new things. His positive attitude is inspiring! Officer Penner supports CCUSD in many invaluable ways. We appreciate his service and commitment to safety every day and especially during difficult situations.  His professionalism is beyond reproach.  Thanks to Officer Penner’s time and preparation, Human Resources hosted a very successful substitute training session. At school, he builds relationships with the students while enforcing high expectations.  He has gone above and beyond with kindness and generosity for many students.  Officer Penner is a talented teacher, tremendous storyteller, and outstanding officer, and CCUSD and Cactus Shadows High School is so lucky to have him!

Dee is a very well respected teacher because of her passion and enthusiasm. Despite the inevitable stresses of the job, she strives to do her best and give it her all every day.   She stays current with technology to better assist students and staff. Her paraprofessionals appreciate how she treats them with respect and ensures that they have the necessary training.  Her students and parents appreciate how she is realistic regarding capabilities but still pushes students to try and be their best. Nancy gives her all every day and in everything that she does!  We truly appreciate the support she provides and how she always goes that extra mile.  Her assistance with Google training, new programs, and all tech related learning is invaluable.  Her kind coaching helps us learn and expand our knowledge and skills. Despite all that Nancy does supporting staff, her personal attention on the Leadership Team Meetings has achieved the desired result.  She takes things in stride while displaying her hard work and dedication every day.  CCUSD credits Nancy’s efforts for encouraging us all to continue to be learners and helping us to be successful.

Ms. Robyn Schmidt
Substitute Coordinator
Human Resources

Robyn is a go-to person at the District Office.  She always takes time to respond to questions, find answers, and helps in so many ways.  Her meticulous notes and organization have been invaluable to new receptionists, and she has taken the position of Substitute Coordinator to new heights.  The new sub lanyards are fantastic, and the sub training has enabled our substitutes to feel more confident on campus and provided valuable feedback for improvement at our schools.  Robyn is cheerful and thoughtful, and we are all so grateful to work with her every day!
