Ms. Kristin Cardin

Black Mountain Elementary School

Kristin is an exemplary teacher who is loved by students, parents, and staff. Students know how much she truly cares, and parents request her for their children year after year.  She works closely with SPED to provide extra support to students and parents, and that means so much.  Teachers appreciate how Kristin leads and supports them with her knowledge and new ideas. Also, she serves on a multitude of committees, applies for grants, always lends a helping hand, and is making a difference in so many ways that matter.  Everyone at Black Mountain Elementary School is grateful for Kristin and her contributions!

Students appreciate how she engages them and holds them to high expectations. Kristine believes in her students so that they can believe in themselves! Staff members appreciate how she willingly shares her ideas and expertise. Her involvement in the Spelling Bee, Math Olympiad, and Cross Country team is motivating. Jill is a natural teacher that truly cares about every student.  She is also a positive role model who exemplifies hard work, helping others, and kindness. On multiple occasions this year, Jill has jumped in to problem solve, provide stability and support, and offer her expertise. Students, parents, and staff recognize and genuinely appreciate how she has shared her time and talents!  She juggles so much and makes it seem effortless. She always go above and beyond for every student, parent, and teacher that she encounters.  Sonoran Trails Middle School is so fortunate to have Jill!

Mrs. Leah Moran

Sonoran Trails Middle School

Leah is such an innovative educator!  She brings great ideas, new resources, and irresistible enthusiasm to her classroom and really challenges her students to think and creatively learn.  She strives for continual education in science and engineering and spent her summer attending ASU’s Solar Energy Research Project.  Now, Leah is sharing that exciting knowledge and ideas with her students and involving parents in the process.  This is just one example of how she is molding students to be visionaries and future problem solvers. Because of inspiring teachers like Leah, students and staff at Sonoran Trails Middle School truly do learn today so they can lead tomorrow!

Dean works hard from dawn to dusk to make our schools look terrific.  We appreciate how he is a jack of all trades, keeper of all keys, and can always be counted on for any job.  He expertly coordinates special projects and is an invaluable asset to the Facilities Team.  Dean is a positive role model and is always willing to do more than is expected.  No job is too small or too large and he can always be counted on in time of need.  CCUSD benefits every day from Dean’s amazing work ethic, knowledge, and skill, and we are so grateful!

No matter how challenging a situation might be, Griffin gives it his all and never hesitates to lend a helping hand. He truly embraces teamwork and communication, and his colleagues deeply appreciate his efforts. Griffin’s commitment to his job is truly commendable, and Child Nutrition is so grateful to have him on their team!

Haley is an amazing, impactful, and innovative teacher.  She has high expectations for students and fully support their efforts. As a master in her content area, she expertly teaches using visual imagery.  Haley has demonstrated that she can teach all levels of students while maintaining academic rigor.  Students appreciate how she always makes time for them and brings an energy and enthusiasm that is irresistible.  Her new class combining both general education students and students with special needs has promoted a positive school culture at Cactus Shadows High School.
